Great location near Ueno station, making travel super easy. Clean shower facilities were a plus. The staff really went out of their way to be helpful during my stay. The room, although a bit small, had a nice layout. I appreciated the handy laundry facilities. On the downside, I found that the room felt stuffy, and there was no mini-fridge to keep drinks cool. More hooks for towels or clothes would have been helpful. Despite these small issues, the convenience of getting around made it worth it.

Staying in a Junior Suite was a treat! The shower was super refreshing after a day of exploring, and the clean style of the room made it easy to unwind. Just steps away, I found some killer local eats like Soba Udon Motonaga and Chugoku Kajosai Shoryu Toshomenso, which are must-tries for any foodie!

However, I was bummed about the lack of housekeeping during my 4-night stay. Having to handle trash disposal myself was a bit of a drag, and the two rolls of toilet paper for our stay felt like a challenge. A little service cushion would’ve gone a long way.

My stay at Sutton Place Hotel Ueno was disappointing, as we faced multiple issues. There was no housekeeping service during our entire visit, which made the lack of fresh towels and toilet paper quite inconvenient. Additionally, the room felt cramped and lacked sufficient light-blocking curtains, making it hard to sleep past sunrise due to the bright mornings. Coupled with some visible mold in the bathroom, these factors left me feeling unsatisfied with my experience.
